Transgids proposed Bonshaw - Tenterfield- Lismore transmission line is wastefull, unneccessary and environmentally damaging. It ignores the huge transmission losses involved, the demand projections for the area and the climate change consequences of infrastructure designed to enable more centralised coal fired power. The alternative of decentralised generation, such as solar and wind, do not require expensive transmission infrastructure, result in far less greenhouse gas emissions and are more efficient inthe long term.
